Cortina d'Ampezzo

Another UNESCO World Natural Heritage - Cortina d'Ampezzo - our second destination after Großglockner

The ideea was to cover as much as possible all beautiful resorts that are starting in the Alps and are ending on the feet of Dolimites mountains. Another goal was to reach as many high peaks as possible and to enjoy the impressive "pinnacles" silhouettes wonders right from above.
The Alps and the Dolomites gives you the pure sensation of securiness and freedom. The fresh air the colorefuled flowers and the green nature overwhelms you right from the point you get out from the car.
Cortina d'Ampezzo was a just a "go through" town/region, we got the chance to see it just in a kind of "fugitive" way. A few stops were made to let us overwhelmed by the imposing mountains and turcoasisch lake water.

I could not give you the exact direction for arriving to Cortina, it's really depends from which part of the Europe you are comming from. The city is located in the North Italian region Veneto, and the area which we are presenting to you is not far away from the city itslef.
The region is situated more or less in the centre of the Ampezzana valley, and surrounded completely by the high Dolomites.
The surrounding area is considered a nature paradise for hikers and climbers and with one of the most beautiful routes in the Dolomites.

It is said that in this region can be found the most famous brands in fashion like Benetton, Bvlgari, Geox and Gucci inlcuding also specilized stores in hicking and climbing equipment.

Way more information about this place can be found on the main web page, which can be found here.
