Stuttgart part 1

Hello dear friends, we are back again, now with some sunny pictures from Baden-Württembergs metropolis, Stuttgart. Even if the summer has not come yet completelly, we will show you our picture collection from 2012.
As you already may known, Stuttgart is one of the most industrialized city in the south-western Germany even if its so, there is more to see than just high technology engineering art.
On the contrary, Stuttgart is a very interesting town if you really know how to discovery it. Surprisingly you will find here a green city with lot of parks, vineyards, valleys and a culture region which gives to all visitors the possibility to undeck the history of this region.
Beyond all this, you may need to know that Stuttgart region is also well known for the outstanding Swabian inventions as the fast-running engine, the electric drill, the toilet paper, the spark plug and lot of other interesting pieces of engineering.
No more additional word, I will let you to enjoy the fascinating, beautiful and charming city of Stuttgart through our photo collection.

Stuttgart's Palace Square(Schlossplatz), the most crowded square from Stuttgart, a square which is surrounded with arhitectural buildings carved in Baroque, Late Classicism and Renaissance style.
Schlossplatz is devided in two castels the New Castle which was once the residence of the kings of Württembeg. Today this castle is used just for administrative purposes.
The Old Palace though has its origings back in 10th century. Nowadays this palace houses the State Museum(Landes Museum) which has a huge collection of items documenting the history of the state from the Stone Age up to the present day. For more information about this castels please visit the main web site which can be found here.

The history of Solitude Palace says that it was concesioned by a famous Duke and used afterwards for hunting and representational purposes. More information can be received on the main web site which can be found here.

The best way to come closer to nature and its friends is to visit the Stuttgart parks. The pictures below were made not really in a park but in the Hoppenlau cemetery.
Hoppenlaufriedhof is the oldest jewish cemetery from Stuttgart(1834-1873), it was designated and put under protection as a historical area. Since then, it was open and considered a park.
Some of you will consider it a little bit creepy, but its not. Here you can find a lot of squirells ready to take your goodies. With a little bit of patient they will earn your trust and will be happy to have you in their presence.

The Killesberg is the highest point of the popular Killesberg hill park. Many people has acknowledged that the cable-stayed structure is an architectural highlight. The tower has four observation decks which can be reached using a spiral staircase. The view offered by the decks is one of the most fantastic view over Stuttgart and its surroundings. In 2002  the tower has received an important engineering award.
If you will decide to make a small walking through this park, the piece of engineering that we were talking about will not be the most important thing to see here. Prepare yourself to walk into a "Zoo" - on summer time there are a lot of animals and birds in this park, but the highlights are the gracious Flamingos.
