If you are planning to visit Uhldingen Mühlhofen, prepare yourself to make a step into the prehistoric atmosphere of the neolithic and bronze edge(more than 10 million tourists did it already).
The reconstructed pile dwellings, the old artifacts and a huge amount of archaeological proofs are the only things that were left behind.
In one hour guided tour you can hear the most excited stories(related by the guides), you can touch archaeological artifacts and even put yourself in the position of the neolithical man.
We meant it for serious, you will be able to hold and use the tools(used in stone and bronze edge) for drilling a hole into a stone using a piece of bambus, to cut the grass from the field, to play with the clay and why not try to set a fire using two stones.
The pile dwellings are registered as UNESCO heritage sites(23 piles houses) and the reconstruction was realized using the same methods(tools and man power) as in neolithic age.
If you really want to see the marks of our orginal culture we recommend you to visit the oldest nature reserve at Lake Constance in Uhldingen Mühlhofen.
